On Tuesday I attended Amanda Palmer: The Art of Asking, a Sydney Writers’ Festival event. And I have photos to prove it!
Amongst Amanda’ guests were local writer Tara Moss as well as Neil Gaiman. Amanda discussed how the process of writing songs and blog posts vary from holding and writing a whole book. Neil and Tara also shared insights about their writing process. I am hoping the talk was recorded and that it will be posted on the SWF YouTube channel. Amanda elaborated on the theme from her TED talk: the new relationship between artist and fan in the context of crowd funding.The Art of Asking is coming to the library shortly!
